This blog explores how InfoNile and the Nile Basin Capacity Building Network (NBCBN) are bridging the gap between scientific research and public understanding to address the urgent environmental challenges in the Nile Basin. Through the Trans-Path-Plan project, the Nile Node brings together scientists, journalists, and communities to co-produce stories that promote sustainable water management and biodiversity conservation. The blog highlights key activities of the Nile Node including; The NileWell Journalists-Scientists Co-production Fellowship, #EverydayNile Photojournalism Project and Photovoice. The overall goal is to create a new model of science communication that breaks silos, amplifies community voices, and influences policymakers with credible, data-backed storytelling to support water and environmental conservation across the Nile Basin.
